Yes. Cipher Client is free to download and use. There are no paid tiers or locked modules.

Yes. Cipher Client is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 and its source code is published on GitHub. You may use, study, share and modify it; modified versions you distribute must also be GPL-3.0 with source code.

It is third-party client software that adds an interface and player-focused utilities to Minecraft. Features and permitted use vary, so players must follow the rules of the servers they join.

Players often call clients like this hacked clients. Cipher Client is a general-purpose utility client: next to visual, quality-of-life and protection features it includes combat, movement and anarchy modules. Use those only on servers whose rules allow them.

That depends on each server. Many servers forbid combat, movement or automation modules, while others allow them. You are responsible for following the rules of every server you join. The Anticheat Aware module can warn about or disable risky modules on servers with an anticheat.

New versions are announced in the official Cipher Client Discord server and listed with their changelog on the releases page of cipherclient.net.

Cipher Client 1.2.0 supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3. Each version has its own JAR, and each JAR only works on the version in its name.

Yes. Install Fabric Loader and the Fabric API build for the same Minecraft version, then add the Cipher Client JAR to the same mods folder.

Press Right Shift in game. The key can be changed in Settings. In the menu you can search modules, open their settings, pin favourites and set keybinds.

Crash Guard is local protection that inspects what a server sends before your game processes it. It handles particle, sound, TNT and packet floods, oversized NBT and books, invalid numbers and unsafe resource packs. It is on by default.

Yes. Your normal config is the default profile, which you can copy to one server or to every saved server from the Profiles button in the main menu. Server Profiles then switches to the right config automatically per server, and you can save up to three complete configs.

Cipher Client sends a small usage report at the start and end of a session with your Minecraft username, the client and Minecraft version, a random session ID and a timestamp. It never sends your IP address, servers, UUID, chat or coordinates. Session data is kept for at most 90 days.

Yes. Since version 1.0.1, Cipher Client checks once per launch whether a newer version exists for your Minecraft version and shows a one-time notice in game. Download the new JAR from cipherclient.net and replace the old one. The check can be switched off in Settings.

Yes. Since version 1.1.0, Streamer Mode hides your name, coordinates, server IP and private messages with one switch, and can turn on by itself while OBS or Streamlabs is running. It is part of the Privacy category, together with NameProtect, Coord Protect, Server IP Hider and Telemetry Blocker.

Yes. Since version 1.1.0, SeedCracker, AlwaysDay, NoFog, Inventory Skin, Item Lock, Custom Crosshair and other features that were 1.21.11-only also work on 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3. Version 1.2.0 fixed the remaining 26.3 problems with Fly, Item Lock and Drop Protection.

Yes. Since version 1.2.0 you can choose between three menu types (OG, Columns and Rows), switch the OG menu to a Compact or Tiles layout, and pick one of nine colour themes under Settings, Appearance. Every colour can be adjusted, and themes can also colour the main menu and loading screen.

Open the Cipher Client menu and switch off Settings, Telemetry, Report Usage. The report can be switched off at any time.

AntiEffect, BetterChat and Cipher HUB are available from the official mods directory.

Usually not. Cipher Client includes an AntiEffect module, a Better Chat module with timestamps, click-to-copy and anti-clear, and a Player Watcher module. The standalone BetterChat mod offers a larger chat suite, and the standalone mods suit players who only want one feature without the full client.

Yes. Cipher Client and the standalone mods are client-side Fabric mods. They do not require a server installation, although server rules can still restrict which client-side mods players may use.

The standalone mods have separate builds for the Minecraft 1.21.x and 26.1+ release lines. Check each product page for the exact supported range and Java requirement.

Yes. Cipher Client and all standalone Cipher mods are built for Fabric Loader and do not support Forge, NeoForge or other loaders.

It depends. Cipher Client, BetterChat and Cipher HUB require Fabric API; AntiEffect does not. Always use a Fabric API build for the same Minecraft version.

Cipher HUB is a client-side shared settings interface for compatible standalone Cipher mods. BetterChat requires Cipher HUB 1.0.0 or newer; AntiEffect does not use it.

Compare the SHA-256 checksum of your file with the value shown on the download page and in the published checksum list. If they match, your file is the official build.

A SHA-256 checksum is a file fingerprint. If the calculated value matches the value published by Cipher Client, the file contents match the official download.

Yes. Cipher Client and the standalone mods are served directly from cipherclient.net.

Do not open the file. Report the link and relevant details to the staff team through the official Cipher Client Discord server.

Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version, add Fabric API for the same version to the mods folder, add the matching Cipher Client JAR and start the Fabric profile. The installation guide covers every step and common errors.

For the default game directory it is normally %appdata%\.minecraft\mods on Windows, ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/mods on macOS, or ~/.minecraft/mods on Linux. Launcher-managed instances may use a different folder.

Common causes are a wrong Minecraft or mod version, missing or outdated Fabric Loader, a missing dependency, incompatible Java, the wrong instance folder, duplicate files or a mod conflict. Read the complete Loader error or latest log before changing files.

Fabric Loader starts Fabric mods and checks their dependencies. Fabric API is a separate shared library used by many, but not all, Fabric mods. Cipher Client needs both.
