Download Cipher Client 1.2.0

Every Minecraft version has its own JAR. Download only the file whose name matches the Minecraft version you play; a JAR built for another version will not load. All four files are official builds served directly by cipherclient.net.

Not sure which version you run? The Minecraft Launcher shows it next to the selected installation. Cipher Client is Fabric-only: Forge, NeoForge and Quilt are not supported.

Requirements per Minecraft version

These minimums are declared in each JAR's fabric.mod.json. Fabric Loader refuses to start the game with a clear error when one of them is not met.

Install Cipher Client in four steps

   Install Fabric Loader

   Run the Fabric installer and create a Fabric profile for your Minecraft version.

2. 02

   Add Fabric API

   Download Fabric API for the same Minecraft version and place it in your mods folder.

3. 03

   Add the Cipher Client JAR

   Put the JAR for your exact version, for example cipherclient-1.2.0+mc26.3.jar, in the same mods folder.

4. 04

   Launch and press Right Shift

   Start the Fabric profile. In game, press Right Shift to open the Cipher Client menu.

Updating Cipher Client

Since version 1.0.1, Cipher Client checks once per launch whether a newer version exists for your Minecraft version and tells you once in game; it never nags. To update, download the new JAR from this page, delete the old cipherclient-… JAR from your mods folder and put the new one in its place. Your settings and profiles are kept.

The check can be switched off under Settings → Updates & Community → Check for Updates. It works independently of the usage report.

Verify your download

Each card above shows the SHA-256 checksum of its JAR, and all checksums are published in the complete checksum list. On Windows, run Get-FileHash .\cipherclient-1.2.0+mc26.3.jar in PowerShell; on macOS or Linux, run shasum -a 256 followed by the file name. If the values match, your file is identical to the official release.

Source code and license

Cipher Client is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0. You may use, study, share and modify it. If you distribute a modified version, it must also be released under the GPL-3.0 together with its source code.

The complete source code, including the build configuration for all four Minecraft versions, is published on GitHub. Third-party components such as the SeedcrackerX engine used by the SeedCracker module are listed with their MIT licenses in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md inside every JAR.

Privacy and telemetry

Cipher Client sends a small usage report so the team can see how many people use which version. It is on by default and can be switched off at any time under Settings → Telemetry → Report Usage.

To stop fake reports, the server asks Mojang whether the standard Minecraft session check took place. Your login token is only ever sent to Mojang, never to Cipher Client. Session data is kept for at most 90 days. Read the full privacy information.

Fair use

Cipher Client is a general-purpose utility client. Many servers have rules about which client features are allowed. You are responsible for following the rules of every server you play on. Use combat, movement and anarchy modules only where they are permitted. The built-in Anticheat Aware module can warn about or disable risky modules on servers that run an anticheat.
