Website purpose
Cipherclient.net is the official website for Cipher Client. It provides product information and documentation, directs visitors to the official community and distributes Cipher Client and the standalone Cipher mods.
Software and license
Cipher Client is free software licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0. You may use, study, share and modify it under the terms of that license. If you distribute a modified version, it must also be released under the GPL-3.0 together with its source code. Third-party components bundled with Cipher Client keep their own licenses, listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md inside each JAR.
Each release on this website has its own description, requirements, supported Minecraft versions and SHA-256 checksum. Features, descriptions and supported versions may change in future releases.
Fair use and server rules
Cipher Client is a general-purpose client. Many Minecraft servers have rules about which client features are allowed. You are responsible for following the rules of the servers you play on and for how you use the software. Use modules such as combat, movement and anarchy tools only where they are permitted. Anarchy tools only work where the server grants the required permissions; Cipher Client does not bypass server permissions.
No warranty
As stated in the GPL-3.0, Cipher Client and the standalone mods are provided without any warranty, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Cipher Client is not responsible for bans, kicks, lost progress or other consequences of using the software on any server.
Unofficial distribution and impersonation
Unauthorized files, redistributed builds, websites, accounts or services claiming to represent Cipher Client are not official unless confirmed through cipherclient.net or the official Discord server. Modified versions distributed under the GPL-3.0 are allowed by the license, but they are not official Cipher Client releases. Official downloads are served directly from cipherclient.net and can be checked against the published SHA-256 values.
Trademarks and affiliation
Minecraft, Mojang Studios and Microsoft are trademarks or properties of their respective owners. Cipher Client is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by Mojang Studios or Microsoft.
Changes to these terms
These website terms may be updated when the project or website changes. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
